The Recruitment Cell of the Rajya Sabha Secretariat was established in the year 2009 and it is responsible for conducting various competitive examinations for recruitment of candidates to the various positions arising in the Rajya Sabha Secretrariat.

Rajya Sabha Secretariat Recruitment Cell has called for applications from eligible candidates for the positions of Junior Proof Reader, Translator and Security Assistant Grade II and the details regarding the notification issued by the cell of these positions are given below

Name of the Vacancies: Junior Proof Reader, Translator and Security Assistant Grade II

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 28, which is divided among the three positions as follows:

• Junior Proof Reader – Category V vacancy – 12 (OBC-03, SC-01, UR – 08)

• Translator - Category V vacancy – 10 (ST-02, OBC – 03, UR – 05)

• Security Assistant Grade II - Category IV vacancy – 06 (SC-01, ST-01, OBC – 04)

Pay Brand: Pay scale fixed for these three positions is given below:

• Junior Proof Reader – Rs.5200-20200 (PB-1) plus GP of Rs.2800

• Translator – Rs.9300-34800 (PB-2) Plus GP of Rs.4800

• Security Assistant Grade II - Rs.9300-34800 (PB-2) Plus GP of Rs.4200

Period of Probation: Two years

Age: Age requirement for each of these positions is given below:

• Junior Proof Reader – Not less than 18 and not more than 32 years

• Translator – Not less than 18 and not more than 30 years

• Security Assistant Grade II - Not less than 18 and not more than 27 years

Process of recruitment:

Candidates will have to will have to undergo several stages of selection, which include written test, skill test, preliminary test and interview. Preliminary examination will be of objective type pattern written test and this will act as the initial process of taking the candidates to further stage of recruitment process.
