Andhra University M.Sc Foods, Nutrition & Dietetics Entrance Test 2012
Located in Vishakapatnam in a vast, attractive campus, the Andhra University stands for excellence and is one of the premier Universities in India. It was established in the year 1926. The University offers a number of disciplines for graduation and post graduation degrees, and is one of the best among all similar institutes in India. An annual entrance examination popularly known as the Andhra University Common Entrance examination, full form of AUCET, is held every year by the University for enrolling interested candidates into various degree courses.
Structure of the Andhra University M.Sc Foods, Nutrition & Dietetics Entrance Test
The exam paper will have multiple choice objective type questions. There will be 90 such questions and the candidates will be given 75 minutes for completing the exam. Each question will carry 1 mark each and the question paper will have 3 parts, namely, Part A, Part B and Part C.
Part A will have 40 questions, 30 questions in Part B and 20 in Part C. There will be a deduction of ¼ marks for each wrong answer.
Syllabus for the Andhra University M.Sc Foods, Nutrition & Dietetics Entrance Test
The question paper for this discipline comprises of questions from the following topics:
- Family and Community Nutrition and Principles of diet in disease and Home Science extension (Part A)
- Nutrition, Biochemistry, Microbiology (Part B)
- Food Science and Human Physiology (Part C)
Eligibility Criteria
For applying to Andhra University for the AUCET, candidates must have qualified in B.Sc degree in Home Science or a B.Sc in Food Science and quality control (Vocational). Candidates with B.Sc qualification with Nutrition as a subject are considered eligible.
How to Apply?
Candidates will be able to obtain application forms from various Sales counters authorized by the Andhra University. For each test the candidates decide to attend, a separate application form must be submitted. The completed application form must be send along with a demand draft favoring the Director, Directorate of Admissions, from any National Bank, and payable at Vishakapatnam. The application form and registration fee details will be provided in the brochure included in the application kit. The application form accompanied by all the required and duly attested certificates must reach the exam director before the announced last date of submission.
How to fill the Form?
Following the instructions and guidelines provided in the information booklet given to the candidate along with the application form, the candidates should practice great care while filling the form. The form should be filled and made sure that there are no errors in any and all entries made in the form. For doubts and in case of errors, candidates are advised to go through the brochure so as to make rectifications. The candidates should go through the brochure and submit the filled in application form before the last date.

Last date for receipt of filled-in applications without fine: Last week of March, 2012
Last date for receipt of filled-in applications with a fine of Rs.500/- : Second week of April, 2012
Last date for Sale & receipt of filled-in applications with a fine of Rs.1,000/- : Third week of April, 2012
Schedule of PG Entrance Tests (Tentative): Between last week of April and First week of May, 2012
Date of Entrance test for 5- Year integrated Programmes: Third week of May, 2012

The candidates should come up with a good study plan so that they can cover topics faster and earlier before the exam. Score Validity
The scores obtained for the AUCET M.Sc Food, Nutrition and Dietetics entrance exam will be valid only for 1 year.
