Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology is a one-year course offered by the Department of Physics, Mumbai University. The total number of seats allotted for the course is 50. The selection of candidates to this course is done through an entrance test carried out by the University itself. The details on the entrance test are mentioned here.

Structure of University of Mumbai PGDIT Entrance Exam

The entrance exam is carried out as an objective model test. The total number of questions will be 50. The duration of the test will be 60 minutes. The total marks allotted for the entrance test is 100, as each question carry 2 marks. There will be negative marking for wrong answers.

Eligibility Criteria for University of Mumbai PGDIT Entrance Exam

Those who have completed graduation are eligible to apply for PGDIT entrance test. The Bachelor’s degree examination must be passed from the University of Mumbai or any other recognized University. The candidates who have completed their B.E./B.Tech degree in any of the technical streams can also apply. Proficiency in computers is preferable. Final year students are also eligible to appear for the entrance test. However, these candidates should submit the documents of graduation before final admission.

How to Apply?

The details on the application process can be collected from the official website of University of Mumbai. This can also be collected from the information brochure provided along with the application form. One can collect the same from the office of the Department of Physics, University of Mumbai.  The fee for collecting the application form is Rs.200/- only. Once the application form is collected, it must be filled by following the instructions given. Filled up applications must be submitted to the destination before the last date specified.  The candidate must enclose Rs.500/- (as examination fees), the photo copies of mark lists, etc while submitting the application.

How to fill the Form?

  • Understand the guidelines given in the information brochure before filling the form.
  • The columns in the form must be filled by providing the exact data.
  • Completely filled application form must reach the destination before the deadline.
  • Enclose the relevant documents along with the application form.
  • Maintain a photocopy of the filled up application form for future reference.
