As there are plenty of examination organizes every year by the University Grants Commission but the National Eligibility Test exam is the most famous amongst all. It is for the National Indian award which pertains to the Junior Research Fellowship Scholarship. It can only be given to the candidate who qualifies this national eligibility test. The appearing candidates need to prepare hard in order to answer all the questions.

Qualification required for the exam:

In general, one should have to pass the Mater’s Level Degree with a 55% marks from a renowned institute or university which is granted by the University grants Commission or its equivalent course and for SC/ST or handicapped candidates its only 50%. There is no age relaxation for the general candidates but has five years relaxation for the OBC/SC/ST candidates. The candidates pursuing in the final year of the master level course can also sit in the exam.

Scores and negative markings:

As the paper II is of objective type, the Museology & Conservation is of subjective types and contains long and descriptive questions and holds essay type questions and there is no question of negative markings on any questions.

Mode of exam:

The paper III is basically of hands based examaintion and students have to use pen/pencil in the exam.

Format of the exam:

The Museology and Conservation Paper holds subjective type questions.

Paper pattern:

This paper holds a total of four sections A, B, C and D respectively under which all the questions are distributed. There are two questions included in section A and three question in section B. The third section includes nine questions and the fourth section holds five questions. There is separate word limit for every section.

Markings:

The Museology and Conservation III paper holds a maximum of 200 marks.

Schedule:

The total time that one should get to answer the entire question is two and half an hours.
