Recruitment Process for ICICI Bank Probationary Officer (P.O)
Graduates have the option to apply for ‘Probationary Officer’ in ICICI bank. Eligible candidates are selected on the basis of an online test, group discussion, psychometric test and personal interview. Selected candidates will be absorbed as Assistant Managers on successful completion of the training program. Such candidates are offered with salary packages of around Rs. 4 lakhs per annum at entry level itself.
Eligibility Criteria for ICICI Bank Probationary Officer (P.O)
Bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized University is the basic eligibility required. The degree must be obtained with minimum 55% marks. Age of the candidate must be less than 25 years. Family members of the employees of ICICI are exempted from application process.
Selection Procedure for ICICI Bank Probationary Officer (P.O)
Selection of eligible candidates to Probationary Officer (P.O) is done through a four stage process.
- Aptitude test
- Case Discussion
- Psychometric Profiling
- Personal Interview
Aptitude Test, conducted online, comprises questions from the following areas.
- Verbal Comprehension
- Numerical Ability
- Logical Reasoning
Those who have passed the written test will be short listed for Group Discussion. In this section, candidates are usually given case studies for discussion purpose. Main objective of this round is to identify the analytical thinking ability of the candidate. Candidate’s approach to hypothetical and complex business situations is also evaluated.
The next/third section is psychometric profiling. The section includes questions so as to evaluate the attitude and personality of the candidate. The typical or preferred behavior of individuals in work environment is also analyzed here.
Final part of selection process is personal interview. In this section, one can expect questions from what they studied in graduation/post graduation, banking related topics, and HR related topics.
Application Procedure for ICICI Bank Probationary Officer (P.O) Recruitment
Applications for attending the aptitude test can be forwarded through the official portal of ICICI. Such candidates will be informed on the date and exam centre for attending online test (via email/SMS).
Selected candidates are put to 12-14 months rigorous training program. The training program is organized by ICICI Manipal Academy. In this trimester program, candidates are basically exposed to areas of banking, finance, management, etc. For training purposes, each candidate must invest Rs. 3.03 lakhs. The amount will be provided by ICICI bank on reasonable interest rate. Apart from training fee, candidate needs to pay Rs. 5000/- as admission security deposit.
On successful training and internship, bank absorbs these candidates to the profile of ‘Assistant Manager’. By gaining job experience, one can move to much higher job profiles.
