SRM University offers M.Tech courses with specialization in streams of Bioinformatics, Database Systems, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Knowledge Engineering, etc. An engineering degree in the concerned stream with 60% marks is the basic eligibility for admission to these courses. Admission Process in SRM University
Candidates who have completed their engineering or M.Sc degree (in related subject) can apply for M.Tech in the concerned stream. The degree must be completed from any recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks. Work experience is also preferred in case of certain courses like M.Tech in Environmental Engineering.
Candidates having adequate score in GATE or TANCET will be considered for admission. SRM University also conducts an entrance exam for the selection of eligible candidates. There will be 100 questions for this objective model test. Each correct answer carries 3 marks where as 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Total time allotted for the completion of the test is 150 minutes.
Candidates who can get through the written exam will be short listed for counseling. Such candidates will be selected on the basis of marks obtained in entrance exam and total intake capacity.
