Admissions are done on the basis of qualifying exam marks, entrance exams, and interview. Admission Process for Ph.D in ITMU

Eligibility of M.Tech/M.Phil or equivalent is required for the award of fellowship in ITMU. Upper age limit of the applicant must be 27 years. Admission process is made through entrance test, previous academic performance, and interview. IPET (ITMU PhD Entrance Test) is the entrance test conducted for the University for the purpose, which comprise objective model questions only. The test is conducted strictly by the Controller of Examination at the ITMU campus. Weightage given to each aspect of admission process is as follows.

• 40% weightage for marks in Post Graduate Degree
• 40% weightage for marks in IPET
• 20% weightage for marks in interview

Candidates with valid score in national test GATE are exempted from attending IPET. In such case, selection is made on the basis of the following:

• 40% weightage for marks in Post Graduate Degree
• 40% weightage for marks in National level test
• 20% weightage for marks in interview

During the time of short listing certain other criteria may also be included for eligibility at the discretion of School Doctoral Research Committee.

Application forms can be obtained from the ITMU campus or shall be downloaded from ITMU website. Application form along with a fee of Rs. 1000/- should be submitted before the prescribed date announced by the University. All payments need to make either by cash or DD payable at Gurgaon and in favour of ITM University Gurgaon.  Relevant documents need to be attached along with the application.
