Pan-India has recently conducted a survey to identify the best engineering colleges in India for the year 2013. Based on the survey report, they classified certain engineering colleges under the clusters A+++, A++, A+, and A. The clusters were allotted on the basis of different parameters which consist of affiliation, admission procedure, academic excellence, faculty, infrastructure, industry interface and placement.  National Institute of Technology Himachal Pradesh, Indian Institute of Technology Tamil Nadu, BIT Sindri Jharkhand and some of the colleges rated as A+++.  MLR Institute of Technology Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, and Govt. Model Engineering College Kochi Kerala were rated as A++ engineering colleges.
