Profile:

Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) was established on January 25, 1971 under Article 318 of the Constitution of India. Intially, prior to the establishment of the HPPSC, Union Public Service Commission served the needs of the state of Himachal Pradesh on request from the Government of the state of Himachal Pradesh with the approval of President of India. The major function performed by the commission is to conduct various competitive examination for the recruitment for the various government posts in the state of Himachal Pradesh.

Job Profile:

Candidates can apply for the recruitment for the posts of Civil Judges in Junior Division in Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission.

Eligibility:

Candidates must attain the minimum age limit set for the posts of Civil Judges i.e. 22 years as on 1 March 2010. Candidates with higher qualification will get prefernece over other candidates.

Educational Qualification:

Interested candidates must be a holder of degree in Law from any university or institute recognized by the Bar Council of India.

No. of posts: 13 posts in total is available in HPPSC for the position of Civil Judge.

Pay Scale: Candidates will get the salary of Rs.9000-14550/- on this post.

Selection Procedure:

The selection proceudre for the above specified posts includes a written examination named HPJS Examination-2010.

Public Service Commission, Nigam Vihar, Shimla-2 alongwith a bank draft of Rs. 250/- (Rs.63/- for SC/ST/OBC candidates of Himachal Pradesh only) payable in any branch of a Bank at Shimla.
