The company is mainly involved in the field of electricity generation field with the use of core based coal method of production.

Job Profile:

West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited invites applications from Indian Nationals to fill up the vacantsposts of Additional General Manager in Finance & Accounts department and Principal in Electricity Employees Training Institute.

Eligibility:

The age limit set for the post of Additional General Manager is 40 to 55 years as on 1 January 2011 while the age limit set for the post of Principal is 35 to 40 years . Relaxation of 5 years in age will be provided to the SC and ST candidates while relaxation of only 3 years will be provided to the candidates belonging to OBC category.

Educational Qualification:

Additional General Manager (Finance & Accounts): Interested candidates must be a full time graduate in any discipline with atleast 2 years full time AICWA/ACA or MBA degree in Finance from any recognized university.

Principal (Electricity Employees Training Institute): Candidates are required to have a full time B.E./B.Tech or B.SC degree in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university. Candidates should also possess Post Graduate Diploma in Training & Development from a recognized university.

Candidates are also need to possess the experience for both the specified positions as per the deamnds of West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited.

Pay Scale:

Additional General Manager: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 8700.
Principal: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 7600.

Selection Process:

Eligible candidates will be appointed only on the basis of the result of Interview test. A selection committee formed by West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited will take personal interview test of each and every eligible candidates. Candidates are therefore required to impress this selection committee with their skills and knowledge.
