Anna University is one of the prominent universities in India. The university offers under graduate, post graduate, doctorate courses in many streams. The university provides courses in allied Sciences, Engineering and Technology. Anna University is located in Adyar in Chennai. The university has a huge campus and was established in 1978. The institute conducts entrance exam for various streams in M.Sc.
Structure of Anna University M.Sc. (Electronic Media) Entrance Exam
The entrance exam of M.Sc. (Electronic Media) will be having objective type questions. There will be four alternatives for each question. The applicant needs to shade the correct choice. The total number of questions in M.Sc. Electronics Media Entrance Exam will be 100. There will be negative marking for each wrong answer. The candidate will be awarded 1 mark for each correct answer. There will be deduction of ¼ marks for each wrong answer. The answer will be considered as wrong if any candidate does multiple shading. For such answers there will be negative marking.
Syllabus of Anna University M.Sc. (Electronic Media) Entrance Exam
The syllabus of the M.Sc entrance exam is as follows:
Quantitative Ability: The total number of questions in this section will be 20. The topics included in this are percentage, profit and loss, average age, time and work, time and distance, compound interest, simple interest, ratio proportion, partnership, least common multiple, highest common divisor, etc.
Analytical Reasoning: This section will have 20 questions. The questions will test the analytical skills of the students. There will be some questions based on pictures as well.
Logical Reasoning: The total number of questions in this section will be 20. The questions will include number series, analogies, verbal classification, artificial language, making judgments, statement and assumption, etc.
Computer Awareness: This section consists of 20 questions. This section is meant to check the general awareness of the candidate in computers. The questions will check the basic skills of candidate in computer applications.
Visualization and Creativity: There are 20 questions in this section. This section tests the visual skills of the candidate. There will be some questions to check the creative skill of the candidate.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidates should have completed any B.Sc. degree / B.A. (Journalism / Visual Communication / Mass Communication) from any recognized university. The candidates who have completed their final year and are awaiting results can also apply for this course.
How to Apply?
The candidate can obtain the application form along with the brochure from the Examination Centre, Anna University Chennai, Chennai -600025. The applicant can download the application form from the official website of Anna University http://www.annauniv.edu. The application forms after completion should be sent to the Director (Admissions), Anna University Chennai, Chennai 600 025 on or before the last date of submission. The candidate should enclose a DD of Rs 600/- along with the filled application form. There is a relaxation for candidates under SC/ST category. They have to send a DD of Rs.300/- along with the application form. The candidate should take the demand draft in favor of The Director (Admissions), Anna University Chennai from a nationalized bank payable at Chennai.
How to fill the Form?
The candidate should fill in the application form very carefully with all correct information. The details regarding the candidate’s name, father’s name, date of birth, etc should be entered as provided in the higher secondary school certificate. The candidate should fill in the form personally. The candidate should enter the address of communication correctly including the pin code. All the further communication with the institute will be in this address. The candidate should refer to the demand draft before entering all the bank details. The applicant should cross check all the entries once again before submitting the form.
