Application Form of West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam
The West Bengal JEE is conducted in the initial stage of the admission process for selecting the candidates in B.Tech, MBBS, BDS and B.Pharm courses in different colleges and institutes under the West Bengal University.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who are applying for this exam must have completed their class 12th or equivalent with a minimum score of 50%. The reservation category should score atleast 40% marks. For applying for the BE/B.Arch/B.Pharm and B.Tech courses, the candidates must have studied PCM in class 10+2 and for the Medical/Pharmacy and Dental courses; the students must have studied the science subjects. They must also have studied English as a subject. Candidates who are appearing for their final exams are eligible to apply too. The applicant should be atleast 17 years at the time of applying. Only those students from the state of West Bengal are allowed to write this exam.
Application Procedure
The application form and the information brochure are available at various branches of the United Bank of India. The price of the E/M form is Rs. 500/- and the type C form is Rs.600/-. Those candidates who wish to receive their forms by post must send a request letter to the office of the Board along with a DD of the prescribed amount with an additional fee of Rs. 200/-. The DD must be payable at Howrah, Kolkata. The completed form with the relevant documents ought to be sent to the board’s office at the earliest.
Filling the Application Form
A few things to be kept in mind by the candidate:
- The candidates should read the directions from the brochure carefully.
- The candidates should fill the form in block letters only. They should be careful not to overwrite.
- The candidates should keep retain the Challan from the bank where the fees was paid.
- The Challan of the cash payment also should be kept safely.
- A recent photo of the candidate should be fixed in the space provided.
- The candidates must provide their signature at the space indicated.
