Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) was established on April 1, 1937. The headquarter of the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission is located in Allahabad. It also has a camp office in the state capital Lucknow as well. There are two spacious examination centres in Allahabad and Lucknow. The major function of the commission is to conduct written as well as the personal interview examination for making the recruitment of various government positions in the state of Uttar Pradesh only.

Job Profile:

Candidates are invited to apply for the vacant position of Assistant Conservator of Forests in Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission. Candidates should meet with all the eligibility conditions set for the post of Assistant Conservator of Forests in Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission.

Eligibility:

Candidates must not be less than 21 years of age and also not more than 35 years of age as on 1 July 2011. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 2 July 1976 and also not later than 1 July 1990. The maximum age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/OBC categories candidates.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Botany/Zoology/Chemistry/Physics/Matehmatics/Geology/Forestry and Statistics from any recognized university. Candidates possessing Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a recognized university as also eligible to apply for the specified post. Candidates who have served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of 2 years, will be given preference over others.

For SC category candidates: Only 5 posts are available.
For ST category candidates: Only 1 post is available.
For OBC category candidates: Only 7 posts are available.

Pay Scale: Candidates will be given the consolidated salary of Rs. 8000-13500 per month..

Application Fee:

OBC category candidates are required to submit an application fee of Rs. 230 only. SC and ST categories candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 110 only. Fee submitted through account payee Bank Draft drawn and issued by an scheduled bank payable to Secretary, Public Service Commission, UP at Allahabad will not be accepeted.

Selection Committee:

The written examination for the post of Assistant Conservator of Forest comprises of total six section including General Hindi, General Studies etc. Successful candidates of this written test will then be called for the personal interview test on specified date. A selection committee formed by Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, will make the final decision on the selection of the candidates.

How to apply: Candidates must attach all the necessary documents or certificates with their application form. Candidates must enclose the documents such as Bank Draft, a post card bearing Advt. No., Name of the examination, Name of candidate and address, and two envelope of 27.5*11.5 cms in support of the completed application form. The envelope containing all the above specified enclosures must be sent to the prescribed address on or before the last date for the reciept of application.
