Rajasthan Public Service Commission was established in the year 1949 after the LEE Commission recommended to set up a Central Public Service Commission in the country. The commission is actually located at Ajmer. It consists of a Chairman and two other members. The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (Conditions of Service) Regulation, 1951 and The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (Limitation of Functions) Regulation, 1951 were the two regulation announced under the provisions of Constitution of India.

Job Profile:

Applications are invited from eligible Indian Nationals for filling up the vacant teaching positions of Assistant Professors in Medical Education Department in Rajasthan. Vacancies are available in various disciplines such as Cardiology, Medical Gaestroantrology, Pathology, Community Medicine, Plastic and Reconstructive Suregry, Cardio Vascular, Nephrology, Paediatrics, Radio Diagnosis and Radio Therapy. Number of posts may be increased or decreased depending on the requirement of the department.

Eligibility:

Interested candidates must not exceed the prescribed maximum age limit set i.e. 37 years as on 1 January 2011 for the post of Assistant Professor in Medical Education Department in Rajasthan. The upper age limit is relaxable by some years for the reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC). The relaxation in age will be provided to the SC/ST/OBC candidates as per the rules of Government of India.

Educational Qualification:

Ph.D Degree with atleast 10 years of experience in teaching or research field is required for applying for the post of Assistant Professor in Medical Education Department in Rajasthan. Candidates possesing First class Master’s Degree in appropriate Medical disciplines with atleast 5 years of experience in teaching or research field.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be provided the prescribed amount of salary i.e. Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6600.

Application Fee:

Rs. 300 is the amount of application fee that is need to be submitted in cash by the General category candidates for collecting OMR Application Form and brochure. SC/ST categories candidates are required to submit an application fee of Rs. 100. However, OBC category candidates are required to submit an application fee of Rs. 200 only.

A personal interview test is need to be faced by the eligible and interested candidates for getting selected on the post of Assistant Professor in Medical Education Department in Rajasthan.
