Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) was established in 1971. It consists of one chairman and three other members in order to take care of its activities and functions. One of the main functions of the Commission is to make direct recruitment of eligible candidates to different civil service posts in the state of Himachal Pradesh through written examination and oral interview.

Job Profile:

Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission invites application from Indian citizens for Ayurvedic Medical Officers posts on contract basis.

Pay Scale - Contractual emoluments Rs. 15300/- P.M.

Eligibility:

Age Criteria - 45 Years and below.

Educational Qualification - Degree in Ayurveda from a Central / State Govt./ CCIM recognized institution and compulsory rotatory internship are essential. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of dialects and knowledge of manner/customs of Himachal Pradesh.

Selection Process:

Candidates will be selected through for the post through Screening test and Interview. Screening test is conducted only to short list the number of candidates. Only eligible candidates will be called for interview.

Candidates willing to apply for the post must get OMR application form from the reception Counter of the HPPSC or selected post offices in H.P on payment of application fees inclusive of examination fees. Application can also be obtained by post.

Application Fees:

The application fees which is inclusive of the examination fees, is Rs. 300 for General/ Gen. Hearing Impaired/Orthopaedically Handicapped. & Gen.WFF category; Rs. 115 for OBC/Scheduled Tribe/Scheduled Caste category; and Rs 50 for Ex-Service Men/Visually Impaired category.

The candidates obtaining the application form by post must send demand draft of amount equal to the application fees plus additional Rs.50, in favor of the Secretary, H.P.Public Service Commission, Nigam Vihar, Shimla-171002, payable at Shimla.
