BHMS Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria
The selection of candidates for Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery course is through an entrance examination. Those who are able to clear the cut off marks in the entrance examination conducted by Central Government or State Government can expect an admission in any of the homeopathic Colleges in India. Today, the parallel medical science, Homeopathy has earned worldwide reputation along with Ayurveda and General medicine.
There exist a lot of national and international Universities offering BHMS course. In India, there exist a total of 188 homeopathic colleges offering different courses in this field. Among this 188 Colleges, 35 Homeopathic Colleges are owned by Government where as the rest is under private ownership.
Eligibility for BHMS Entrance Exam (Homeopathy)
The necessary qualification required for attending the entrance examination of Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery course is a pass in the intermediate 10+2 or any other equivalent level exam. Those who have taken science as the main stream of study are eligible to attend this entrance examination. The shoul have studied Physics, Chemistry and English as their subject. Apart from this, they must have studied Biology as optional subject.
- Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply for this entrance examination.
- Blind, deaf and/or dumb candidates are exempted from attending the entrance examination
Age Qualification for BHMS Entrance Exam (Homeopathy)
Those who have completed 17 years of age are eligible to apply for Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery course.
Exam Pattern of BHMS Entrance Exam (Homeopathy)
The entrance examination for BHMS includes questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. This is an objective type test based on the syllabus of the XII class. The normal time duration of the entrance examination is 2 ½ hours. The time duration for the examination may vary according to the Board that conducts the examination.
Application procedure of BHMS Entrance Exam (Homeopathy)
The application for this entrance examination can be done through offline or online method. Candidates can log on to the official website of board conducting exam to sent application through online method. They have to collect a demand draft of specified amount before submitting the application through online method. Those who are submitting the application through offline mode have to collect the application form from the Colleges offering BHMS course or from specified branches of bank. This application form and information bulletin can be collected by paying the specified fee.
