To be eligible for the written test, conducted by ISRO, for the post of scientist/engineers, the candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
Candidate must have qualified BE/BTech with first class and an average of 65% in all semesters.
Candidate must not be over 35 years for general candidate, 40 years for candidates belonging to Sc/St category and 38 years for candidates belonging to other backward caste.

even though there is specific exam for the intake for the same

they highly depend on the merit of the student than the degrees completed by the candidate

so you should understand one thing clearly that you have to be a good knowledgable person in your subject regard

And the general steps you have to remember to reach your desired goal is ..

->you have to complete your b.tech with good percentage i.e., 65% atleast (preferably 75-80%)

->Go for Coaching if you're financial position is strong(Not Cumpulsary) so that not only you get coaching you can be exposed to many factors like difficulty level of question,national wide competition for the same exam..and so on it will be good if you do so..

->As usual after getting well groomed with the coaching you can confidently attempt the exam..

->Then after that you have to give good performance in the interview too.

By these simple steps you can make into your dream..

Eligibility for ISRO exam :-

ISRO:it is very prestigious organisation.It is responsible for research and other space related work.ISRO recruits engineer/scientists through entrance examinations which eligibility criteria is as under

ISRO stands for Indian Space Research Organization.

To become an engineer or scientist in ISRO, you will have to pass ISAT entrance exam.

You can apply for Junior Fellowship Programme in ISRO, after passing this exam.

Eligibility criteria for ISAT –

Qualification :

B.E. / B.Tech with minimum 65% marks from a recognized university.

Age :

Age should not be more than 35 years.

Stages of selection –

You will have to clear these stages to be in ISRO –

Written test.
Technical round
Medical Test
Personal Interview

Isro has eligiblity criteria of 65% or 6.84 cgpa. My university uses CGPA but it gives conversion formula CGPA * 10 because it does not use traditional CGPA system where even if a candidate scores 7.5 in a subject it is calculated as 8. In our university, CGPA are treated almost similar to percent system. I have scored 6.7 CGPA which is 67%. According to CGPA I am not eligible but according to percent I am eligible. What should I do?
