B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is one of the oldest branches of engineering studies. Under the course of B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering one needs to study the working as well as principle of various machines and machine tools. Various other aspects of functioning of a machine are also studied under this course. The course of B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering makes one thorough about the various methods and ways in which the machine works. May it be any machine used in the industries; they have an idea of it.
One needs to be 10 + 2 passed in order to get admission into the course of B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. Different college conducts entrance examinations or follows one to grant you admission in it.
Course Outlook:
The course is of four full years. The full course is divided into 8 semesters. After each semester, an examination is held to judge the performance of the students in those 6 months.

i, Iah Singh is in final year of mech. engg. College to which I belong is not a very good reputed one. my avrg % so far is just 60 and I dont have much idea of its further groups in which i could try.
I would be highly obliged if you provide knowledge about the groups of this branch and companies in which i can apply with such %.
