Central Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination 2011, Union Public Service Commission
Union Public Service Commission is a Government Organization which came into existence on October 1, 1926. The commission is located at Dholpur House, New Delhi. The commission is mainly aimed to serve the region of India. The commission is responsible for conducting the examinations for making appointments to the variouys Civil Services of India. The first ever Publice Service commission in India was set up on October 1, 1926. The first commission was established by the then British Indian Government on the demands of the Indian Politicians. The commission is consist of a Chairman and other members.
Job Profile:
Union Public Service Commission will be conducting a written examination for making recruitment of the eligible Indian Citizens on the post of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Police Forces viz Border Security Forces, Central Reserve Police Force, Central Industrial Security Force, Indo Tibetan Border Police and Sashastra Seema Bal.
Eligibility:
Interested candidates must have attained the age of atleast 20 years for applying for the post. Candidates must not have attained the age of 25 years as on 1 August 2011. Candidates are required to have been born not earlier than 2 August 1986 and not later than 1 August 1991. The upper age limit is relaxable to some extent for the SC/ST/OBC categories candidates. Other reserved categories candidates may also get relaxation of few years in the upper age limit set for the post.
Candidates are also required to be physically fit according to the rules and regulations of Government of India.
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from any recognized institute or university is required be attained as the minimum educational qualification from the interested candidates, who wants to apply for the post of Assistant Commandants in the Centra Police Forces.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will get the prescribed amount of salary i.e. Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.
Application Fee:
An application fee of Rs. 200 is need to be submitted by the candidtaes belonging to General and OBC categories only. SC/ST/Female candidates are exempted from the payment of this application fee. Application fee must be paid through the means of a central Recruitment Fee Stamp. Candidates, who wants to make online payment, should pay only Rs. 100 as application fee.
Selection Process:
Selection of candidates will be made only on the basis of a written examination followed by Physical Fitness test and Personal Interview Test. The written examination will be held on 9 October 2011. Union Public Service Commission will conduct all the stages of the selection process.

Candidates can also apply offline through the common application form, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/ Post Offices throughout the country on the cash payment of Rs. 30 only.
