Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) was estbalished in the year 1970 in Shimla. It is a public university with a suburban campus in Summerhills. There are 28 teaching departments in the campus. Mr. Prabha Rao is the Chancellor of the university while Professor Sunil Gupta is working as the Vice Chancellor of the university. The university has managed to become a renowned name in providing better educational facilities to the students.
