Microprocessors are very much important in present scenario where most of the electronic gadgets are developed with the help of microprocessors and micro-controllers. Microprocessors are programmable devices that are designed for multipurpose to accept digital data, performs the function fed into its memory and gives the output. They operate on symbols and numbers, which are represented in Binary Number System. Microprocessors are used in personal computers as well, where they perform various functions like text editing, internet communication, computation and text editing.

What is taught in this paper?

The topics which are taught in this paper are different types of microprocessors, stack pointer, DMA operation, synchronous and non synchronous transmission, subroutines and its functions, etc.

The two divisions, in which the paper is divided are as Section A and Section B.

Time and marks allotted:

The total time duration allocated for solving this question paper is of three hours and the maximum marks that can be secured in this paper are 100.

Paper Pattern:

The total no. of questions in this paper is 9. The medium of the paper is English. The question paper is divided into two sections, Section A and Section B. all the questions of the paper are compulsory. There is only one question in the Section A of the paper which is further divided into 10 parts. All these are short notes questions. Each part of this question is carrying a maximum of 4 marks with a total of 40 marks for this section. Section B of the paper consists of a total of 9 questions. Each question of this part carries equal marks. Only one question is to be attempted from the two consecutive questions in this section. The total marks carried by this section of the paper are 80.
