Details of THE HINDU – HITACHI Scholarship Scheme
The THE HINDU – HITACHI Scholarship is a joint venture of the Hitachi Ltd, Tokyo, Japan, and THE HINDU. Selected students are given with technical training in Japan. The training program is given in product fields like Industrial Systems, Transportation Systems, and Power Systems. Duration of the training program is six months. Engineering graduates or B.Sc holders in engineering can attend the interview conducted for selection process. Selected trainees will be given with travel allowance and boarding facilities at free of cost.
Overview of THE HINDU – HITACHI Scholarship Scheme
The Hitachi Ltd, Tokyo, Japan, in collaboration with THE HINDU has organized a scholarship scheme for carrying out technical training in Japan. The number of scholarships given is 3. Duration of the training program is six months. Training program is given in any of the following product fields of Hitachi Ltd.
- Industrial Systems
- Transportation Systems
- Power Systems
- Information and Telecommunication Systems
Training programme is conducted according to the convenience of Hitachi establishments. During training, special emphasis will be given for energy-saving and environment-related technologies. Selected candidates are requested to follow the discipline, rules, and regulations of the establishment to which they are posted.
The good conduct of the selected candidate should be guaranteed by their parents or guardians. In case, if the candidate’s character is found unsatisfactory by Hitachi Ltd, his/her parents should pay its repatriation. This condition is also applicable in case when the selected candidates desired to discontinue their studies in Japan for any reason, during the period of the scholarship.
.Eligibility Criteria for THE HINDU – HITACHI Scholarship Scheme
Bachelor degree in engineering or B.Sc in Engineering (or its equivalent) is the minimum educational qualification required. Applicant must be an Indian citizen with age less than 30 years. They should have at least one year of professional experience. Those with prior experience in the branch, for which training is supposed to be given, will be given preference. Selection process is made through an interview session. Candidates, who have attended the interview for this scholarship in previous years, need not apply again.
Benefits under THE HINDU – HITACHI Scholarship Scheme
Selected trainees will be given with travel allowance and boarding facilities at free of cost. They will be provided with return Economy Class air passage. Apart from this, each candidate is given with monthly stipend for meeting their personnel expenses.
Application form (costing Rs.5/-) can be collected from the selected offices of THE HINDU. It must be filled up completely and submitted to the designated address before last date.
