Campus selection of Syntel comprises of written exam, group discussion and tech cum HR interview. Those who can prove their skills in all these sections can obtain placement in the Company.
Eligibility Criteria for Syntel Campus Recruitment
Syntel often recruits candidates who have completed their qualifying degree in the current academic year. Qualified candidates in B.Tech, B.E, MCA, M.Sc, etc are often considered for selection process. B.Tech holders must have obtained the qualification in any of the following streams.
- Computer Science and Engineering
- Computer Technology
- Information Technology
- Electronics and Communication engineering
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- Electronics and Instrumentation
MCA graduates as well as M. Sc graduates in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Technology, etc can also attend the placement process of Syntel. Only candidates who have consistent academic record (minimum of 50% marks, in 10th, 12th, graduation and post graduation) can apply. Those having backlogs in the qualifying degree will not be eligible to attend the selection process. Not more than one year break in education is allowed. Only Indian citizens having a valid Indian passport are allowed to attend the recruitment process.
Selection Procedure of Syntel
Candidates must go through a certain selection stages to get selected in Syntel. Selection of eligible candidates is done through a three step process.
- Written Test
- Group Discussion
- Technical cum HR Interview
In certain times, GD may be avoided, according to the decision of HR department. Written test of this recruitment process includes two main sections, General Aptitude and Technical Knowledge. General aptitude test is usually carried out online. Those who qualify the same will be considered for technical test. General Aptitude test includes questions on verbal reasoning, logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude, etc. One can expect much simple questions in this section. Fundamental knowledge in programming languages, digital circuits, basic electronics, etc is evaluated in technical test. Basic idea in technical aspects is enough to clear the test.
Qualified candidates in written exam should demonstrate their communication and presentation skills in GD section. Those who get through the section will be short listed for interview.
In interview, one can expect HR based questions as well as technical related questions. Mostly details on final year project, industrial visit, etc will be asked. Questions to evaluate the theoretical and trouble shooting skills of the candidate will also be included. One must answer the questions clearly and with out any fear.
