Indian nationals, subjects of Nepal/Bhutan, Tibetan refugees, etc can apply for the job profile of Sub Inspector (Executive) in Delhi Police. Graduates satisfying specific physical/medical requirements can get recruited to the job by qualifying the written exam conducted by SSC. Candidates having qualified written examination must pass medical/fitness test and interview to get selected.

Eligibility Criteria for Delhi Police Sub Inspector (Executive) Profile

Indian citizens in the age group of 20 – 25 years are often considered for Sub Inspector (Executive) Profile in Delhi Police. Candidates belonging to OBC category can expect 5 year age relaxation where as SC/ST candidates can have age reduction up to 5 years. Ex-servicemen as well as departmental candidates can also expect age relaxation. Sports men can have age relaxation up to 5 years, provided they must have represented the state at national level or country at international level in any sports/game items.

Apart from age requirements candidate should satisfy certain physical standards also. Minimum height requirement insisted for the job profile is 170 cms. Chest girth required for the applicant ranges between 81cms to 85 cms. Eye Vision of the candidate must be 6/12 (without glasses).

Apart from those mentioned above, the prime eligibility criteria required is the educational qualification of the candidate. Bachelor degree from any recognized institution is enough to apply for the job. This degree can be obtained in any of the academic subjects.

  • Driving license for LMV is also preferred in case of male candidates.

Selection Procedure for Delhi Police Sub Inspector (Executive) Profile
Selection of eligible candidates is done through a three stage process.

  • Written Exam
  • Physical and Medical Test
  • Personal Interview

Written examination is conducted in two papers. Total time allotted for answering these two papers is 2 hours.  Each paper in this objective model test contains 200 questions. Each question carries one mark each. The syllabus for the examination covers following topics

  • English Comprehension
  • General Awareness
  • General Intelligence
  • General Knowledge
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Reasoning

Reasoning section includes questions on analytical reasoning, verbal reasoning, etc. Quantitative Aptitude is meant to evaluate the numerical ability of the candidate. GK section will be based on current events, important personalities, international affairs, sports, business, etc.

Those who can get through written examination will be called for physical/medical test. This will be of qualifying nature and those who meet with specific requirements will be selected for personal interview. Personal interview section is meant to evaluate the personality and professional attitude of the candidate. Certificate verification and related activities also take place in this final round.

    Are operated eyes ok for delhi police sub inspector level qualification?
    I do not have perfect 6/6 eyes and my present eye sight is -1.21 for both eyes.
    And what is the qualification marks in written examination for general candidates.
