Union Public Service Commission was formed on October 1, 1926 under the Government of India. The commission is a government organization located at Dholpur House. The commission is responsible to conduct competitive written examination for making appointment on the various Civil services of India. The first ever public service commission was actually set up in the year 1926. One of the major responsibility of the commission is to advise goevernment on all matters relating to the methods of recruitment to various services.
Job Profile:
Union Public Service Commission invites application in the prescribed format from eligible candidates for the various posts in different ministries and departments of Government of India. The various posts available includes Fisheries Scientist, Assistant Library and Information Officer, Scientist SB (Electrical/Non-Destructive):
1. Recruitment of Fisheries Scientist:
No. of posts: Only 2 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 35 years.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Zoology/Marine Biology/Fisheries Science/Oceonography from a recognized university or equivalent.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.
2. Recruitment of Assistant Library and Information Officer (General):
No. of posts: Only 3 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 30 years.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Library Science from a recognized university or equivalent.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4600.
3. Recruitment of Scientist SB (Electrical):
No. of posts: Only 4 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 35 years.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Physics/Computer Science or degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Science/Telecommunication/Radio Physics from a recognized university or equivalent.
Pay Scale: Rs. Consolidated salary of Rs. 8000-13500 per month.
4. Recruitment of Scientist SB (Non-Destructive):
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 35 years.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Physics or Degree in Mechanical/Metallurgical/Electrical from a recognized university or equivalent.
Pay Scale: Rs. Consolidated salary of Rs. 8000-13500 per month.
Application Fee:
An application fee of Rs. 50 is need to be submitted by the interested candidates (only General and OBC categories candidates). Fee exempted for SC/ST/Ph and Women candidates. The application fee must be paid through a Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only.
