Yes, you have the option to study Engineering in Diploma after 12th standard in arts stream. The minimum educational qualification required for Diploma in Engineering is 10th standard or its equivalent qualification with good score in Science and Maths subjects. So, whatever your 12th specialization don't worry. You are definitely eligible for Diploma in Engineering.

Admission in a Diploma course is based on 10th standard and you are definitely eligible for it. Just apply for the polytechnic entrance exam of your state and get a decent rank in it. Good rank will help you in getting admission in a top college through counseling.

After completion if Diploma Engineering you will be eligible for admission in a B.Tech course through Lateral Entry admission procedure. Hence, you can surely go for this course. 10+2 stream is not considered when you are taking admission in a Diploma Engineering course.
