I am BCA graduate and willing to study Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology from IIITs. So, tell me eligibility criteria to study this course?

As you have done BCA (Bachelors in Computer Application) and now want to do postgraduate diploma in information technology from IIIT (Indian Institute of Information Technology), then you must have to full fill eligibility conditions as mentioned below:-

Eligibility for PG Diploma in Information Technology in IIIT:- Minimum qualification required to apply for postgraduate diploma in information technology is graduation from any government recognized institute with minimum 50% marks obtained.

- Duration of post graduate diploma in information technology is 1 year.

Career Options after PG Diploma in Information Technology:-

Eligibility Criteria Required to pursue Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology from IITs:

As far as my best knowledge is concerned, you are not eligible to pursue this Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology course with BCA qualification. The basic educational qualification required is as follows.

>> Candidates must have completed Bachelor's Degree in any stream of Engineering to be eligible.

>> Or else, Candidates who are from M.Sc or MCa background are also eligible.

>> The minimum percentage required in concerned educational qualification is 60% marks to be eligible.

>> Hence, I suggest you to pursue Master of Science in Information Technology or it's related subjects to be eligible for doing Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology from IITs.

The IIITs offer only Post Graduate Diploma in Software Development course. Eligibility to study the PG Diploma in Software Development is a pass in Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline (like BA, BCom, BE/BTech, BCA) with a minimum of 50% marks. Admission to the course is done on the basis of marks scored in the qualifying examination. Duration of the course is 11 months (online) and fee for the course is Rs 2,25,000. The PG Diploma in Software Development contains subjects like Introduction to Programming, Object Oriented Programming, Algorithms, Data Structures, Distributed and Scalable Server Architecture, Software Design and Front end Development and Mobile App Development. In order to pursue Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology from IIITs, you should have completed your bachelor's degree in engineering field or master's degree in CS/IT/Electronics/Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics/Statistics with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university. MCA candidates are also eligible to apply for the course.

Therefore, in order to apply for the above mentioned course in IIT, you must complete your MCA at first.
