Re: List of courses available for Federal student loans? Eligibility criteria and procedure for it?
The candidates need to complete and submit the free application for federal student aid (FAFSA). It is a kind of entrance exam in order to judge whether the candidate is eligible to get the loan or not. Based on the performance and result your college/school will send you the federal aid. The candidate needs to complete the counselling and to sign the MPN (Master promissory note). The basic eligibility criteria are as follow:
1) The candidate must be a citizen of US or an eligible non-citizen of US. 2) Must demonstrate the financial need. 3) If you are a male and your age is between 18 to 25 years old then you have to be registered with Selective service. 4) Must have a valid Social security number. 5) The candidate needs to maintain satisfactory academic progress in college or school. 6) The borrower must be enrolled as a regular student who is pursuing the degree course or certificate program. 7) Certificate statement on the free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) should be signed by the candidate. Those candidates who are pursuing the degree course or certificate programs are only eligible to get the Federal Student Loan. |
