What are the requirements to pass the physical fitness/medical round?

IPS is another category within the UPSC examinations.
The eligibility is:
1. Holder of a valid degree from recognized university.
2 Age-A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August of the year of the examination.
3.For the Indian Administrative Service and the Indian Police Service, a candidate must be a citizen of India.

Complete Information on Civil Services Exam

Eligibility Criteria :-

1) You should be a graduate in any stream form a recognized college

2) You should be within the age limit of 21-30 years for general category,21-33 years for OBC and 21-35 years for SC/ST

The maximum number of attempts permitted for general is 4,for OBC its 7 and for SC/ST there is no limit..

Exam Pattern :-

There are 2 rounds for this exam

1) Prelims :- This round will have 2 objective papers which will test your general knowledge,aptitude and current affairs

2) Mains :- If you clear the Prelims then you shall qualify for the Mains which will test your knowledge of the graduation subjects..This will be a subjective paper..

If you clear both the exams then you shall be called for the interview and the final selection..

Civil Service Examinations are held by UPSC each year for which Notification
Are issued in all leading newspapers during the month of November/December each year
And Exams are held during May next year.
