I have got 56% in 10 2 can i do bca . Is there any entrance exam for bca & is there any college in agra

after 12 th you can join bca . there are so many colleges in india which offers this course and the elligibility criteria differs with college as they make their own criteria .you can also join through entrance exam .but as general condition these are some eligibity criteria -
you can do BCA after 12. For doing BCA you have passed in 12th in any stream either SCIENCE or COMMERCE with 50% aggregate marks and then you can take admission in BCA course.

The eligibility criteria for doing BCA are as follows-

*One must have complete the 12th with maths or stats as a main subject..

This is the only criteria for BCA course..
Different colleges have different admission procedure..
Some are conduct entrance test for the admission in BCA course...
They select students on the basis of the marks in that entrance test..
Some are short listed students on the basis of the marks , which he/she have secured in the 12th exam..

Its depend on colleges.Some college have criteria to get admission like an

entrance exam.Some college give admission based on 12th percentage.If you

have 60% or above than you can get admission.

The main thing which helps you to get admission in bca college.That is its

depend on your 12th percentage. and also you have maths background in

12th.Its also the essential thing.

You can go for the bca after completing your 10+2. bca is a field of the computer science. you will learn about the programming language in this courses. there is no any entrance examination for this course.

If you have got good marks in your 12ththen you are eligible for this bca course. A 12th holder can go to the best college if he get very good marks.

This is all depend on your percentage of 12th class. if you get good marks then you can go to nice colleges.

You go to the particular college and then show then all your documents. then a rank list is declared and then you will allotted the college.

to join BCA there are number of colleges all over the India and every college has own criteria to give admission to the candidate.In some colleges there is no criteria of marks but you have to pass the entrance exam conducted by the college.In some colleges there is criteria of marks ie +2marks % greater than equal 60%. But in every college you have to pass entrance exam.

there are number of job opportunity after doing BCA that are as follows:
1.you can teach various languages like c, c++ etc to the student.
2.you can join call center
3.BPO
4.You can go for MCA and after doing MCA you will easily get job in various MNC as software engineer.

The candidate should complete +2 from a recognised state board with one of the following subjects-
Mathematics/Statistics/ Business Maths.

I think There is no Entrance Exam for BCA Course.And Maths subject is not compulsory in 12th.but,some Institution ask for Maths subject in 12th.Don't worry Many Institution offer BCA course without Maths subject in 12th.And there is no marks minimum.But some colleges ask the 60% and 65% marks in 12th.

As a common you need to have at-least 60% but in some institute they may prefer for 65% to 70% student so its purely depends on university!

you can do BCA without having math in +2 level but try to take maths subject in BCA course as it will be compulsory if you going to do MCA..as maths should be there either in graduation level or +2 level....

and now onwards there will be change in criteria i.e students need not have Certificate in Computing (CIC) to get admission into BCA and MCA courses offered by IGNOU.

BCA stands for Bachelor of Compute Applications. This course is being offered by many of the colleges all over India.

This course is a technical related course where in number of IT oriented subjects and concepts were built in.

In many colleges, direct admission will be given for BCA course without considering the percentage of marks that the candidate has secured in 12th class with any of the stream.

But there are few colleges which will conducte entrance examination. Depending upon the performance in the Entrance Exam, the candidate will be given admission for this course.

In such cases, some other candidates who have shown very bad performance in the Entrance Exam will not be given admission for this course.

Some other universities or colleges will conduct entrance exam just as formality in the sense the candidae no need to perform well in the Entrance Exam. The performance of the candidate in the Entrance Exam will not be given preference.

In current scenario, there are excellent job opportunities for the candidates of technical streams like
-BCA
-MCA

So, I suggest you to gain good subject knowledge in your BCA course and get good command on at least one programming language.

Soon after completion of your BCA course, you can have good number of job opportunities in top IT companies like
-TCS
-IBM
-Google
-Infosys etc.

After completion of your BCA course, if you won't get good job opportunity, then better to opt for MCA course by cracking the respective Entrance Exam for MCA course.

For doing BCA eligibility criteria is :-
You have to pass 12th Science or Commerce with English and one of the following subjects-Mathematics/Statistics/Business Maths.
You can go for following entrance exams also :-
Common Entrance Test(CET)
Symbosis Entrance Test(SET) for admit into Symbiosis International University (SIU).
So, you can make a direct admission or go for entrance exams.

The minimum eligibility for BCA is 60% marks in your 12th board exam. Some colleges gives you admission on the merit basis and some conduct entrance exam for it, depends on the college. I will suggest you to do BCA from a good college because there are so many colleges which offer this course but doing it from a well known institute will help you in future.

Candidates who have scored minimum of 60% marks in his/her XII board exam are eligible for the BCA course. So the only eligibility required for this exam that the candidate is 10+2 passed.









The duration of this course is of 3 years. During the duration of these 3 years you will be taught many languages and computer applications.







Generally for BCA direct admission is there after 10+2 exam & candidate is not required to give any entrance exam.

After BCA you can go for MCA or MBA whichever is your choice.

One more important thing is that if you are planning to do MCA after BCA then let me inform you that you can do MCA only if you have maths at 10+ 2 level.

BCA graduates are everywhere, they are gaining importance day by day, BCA is a very important course, it completely deals with Software side. So basically youll only be studying whats required for your career, and this is a great advantage.

Coming to your question bout the procedure to join BCA, youve got to do a little bit of home work, bout the universities which provide BCA, the best university, etc etc.

For doing BCA, You should have studied Maths or Computers as a subject in your PUC or 12th. and shoud have a minimum aggregate of 60% in your 2nd PUC/12th std.
