Can I do BCA and MCA without having Maths in 12th? Which colleges I can try to get admission in Kolkata? I have in class 12 (Arts), Math is not my subject combination but I have economics. I don’t know that can I join BCA in Kolkata. I would be so glad, if you give me any useful answer, and the jobs offered for BCA graduates. Thank You.

Actually as per the eligibility criteria to pursue BCA candidate must have studied physics, chemistry and mathematics at intermediate level from a recognised board with minimum 50% marks and relaxation of 5% is given to the candidates of reserved categories ST, OBC and SC students.

So as a Arts student you are not eligible to pursue Bachelor of Computer Application for a degree course.

If you have not to study maths in 11th and 12th standard then according to eligibility criteria, you cannot do Bachelor of Computer Application 3 year degree course.

It is necessary that a candidate must have studied physics, chemistry and mathematics at intermediate level in order to pursue BCA course and after that MCA course. So choose that course which is related to your stream.

It is not possible to get admission in BCA course as you haven't study mathematics which is key subject for this course. As per my knowledge, this three year degree course will help you to specialized in marketing , managing business, finance department, etc.
