CDS 2012 Eligibility:-
For IMA-Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1988 and not later than 1st July, 1994 only are eligible. For Indian Naval Academy-Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1991 ( 2nd July, 1989 in case of NCC Naval Wing ‘C’ Certificate holders ) and not later than 1st July, 1994 only are eligible. For Air Force Academy-Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1990 and not later than 1st July, 1994 only are eligible. |

eligibility criteria for cds examination are as follows-
Educational Qualification Degree from a recognized University. B.Sc. with Physics & Mathematics OR Bachelor of Engineering.Degree from a recognized university (with physics & mathematic at10+2 level) OR Bachelor of Engineering Degree from a recognized University. Physical Standards..........Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations specified in the Commission’s Notification for Examination published in Employment News/Rozgar Samachar. C.D.S is stand for Combine Defence Services Exam CDS exam is conducted by UPSC and is held every year as CDS I and CDS II. CDS- COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as CDS-I and CDS-II for entry in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy of CDS.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR CDS EXAM:- -The candidate must be an unmarried Indian National. -Should have either appeared for the final Graduation Degree exam or Passed in any stream of education from a recognised University. -Should be within the age of 19 to 24 years for IMA, 19 to 22 years for INA, 19 to 23 years and from 19 to 25 years for OTA applying candidate. -Should possess good Physical Fitness. The selection is through written exam followed by personal interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test. The criteria for the candidates applying for CDS are unmarried man and age should be between 30-35 . The minimum education qualification is candidate must graduation from any recognized university for the post of officer in army , for navy and air force candidates must have BE from any recognized university and had 12th with PCM subject . The syllabus for the cds exam is upto the graduation level .

For Naval Academy -B.Sc. (with Physics & Mathematics) or Bachelor of Engineering. One can apply for the CDSE (COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES EXAMINATION) after the graduation,.. But for apply in naval(NA) & in air force wing(IAF), you must have engineering degree or equivalent degree or BSC (with maths & physics) from a recognized college with the minimum marks of at least 60%. The age limit for this examination is 19-23 years [for air force] 19-24 years [for the naval] 19-25 years [for IMA military]. Last years candidates can also apply. Exam pattern- Notification for the UPSC's examinations which have to be held in this current years- Physical eligibility- You must have INDIAN nationality with marital status unmarried. CDS Stands for Combined Defence Service Examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a year . The exam will be held in the month of February and September .
Needed Education Qualification for this examination is that candidate need to holding their degree course qualification or equivalent qualification from a recognized University . Any degree course like engineering , post graduate degree , graduate degree can apply for this examination . If you need to applying the post of Navy or Air force Examination then you must have a physics and mathematics as in your 12th examination . Age limits for CDS Examination ::
