To join the CBI department, you will need to appear for Combined Graduate Preliminary Exam, conducted by the Staff selection commission every year.
The educational qualification required for the exam is graduate in any discipline.
The minimum eligible age, for the same is 20 years whereas, the maximum age limit is 27 years with relaxation of upto 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC.
So, for a better career in CBI, you must complete your bachelors degree program.

* Eligibility criteria to join CBI officer you have to appear for Combined Graduate Preliminary Exam conducted by SSC(Staff Selection Committee)

* Candidates should have a graduation from a recognized university.
* The age limit must be within 20 to 27 for general category.
* The age limit must be up to 35 years for SC/ST candidates.
* The age limit must be up to 33 years for OBC candidates.
* Relaxation for OBC candidates for 3 years and SC/ST candidates is 5 years.

Attempts:

For General category - 4 attempts.
For SC/ST category - No limit
For OBC category - 7 attempts

Is not possible to join in CID only just after 12th you have to take up degree in Criminology. because only the applicants with criminology degree is eligible for writing this examination.
CGPE which is conducted by SSC which is the acronym for staff selection committee. To join CID you need to appear for CGPE exam i.e. Combined Graduate preliminary Exam which is conducted by SSC board every year.
Those candidate are graduate from any recognized university with any discipline are eligible for CID exam.(Criminology)
But your age should be in between 20 to 27 years old.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC category as per govt rule.
The maximum attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.


CBI
after 10+2 you are not eligible for CBI exam. if you have completed your graduation degree then you are eligible for CBI exam. the eligibility criteria is given below.
If you have completed your bacholar degree, then you are eligible for appear in this exams. But your age is between 20 to 25 years.

1) Age :-Your's age must lie between :-

(a) 20 to 27 years for Assistant Grade & SIs in CBI
(b) 18 to 27 years for inspectors of CE/IT & Div. Acctts/Auditors/UDCs, etc.,
(c) 20 to 25 years for SIs in CPOs on the first day of the August of the year of Examination.
The upper age limit may be relaxed in respect of SC,ST,OBC.

2) Educational Qualification :-You should have a degree of a recognized University.

if you want to make carrier in CDS it is good but there is some prerequisit criteria like education and about age limit anout sex the croteria about different attribute is as folloes

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
-For Indian Naval Academy : Degree in Engineering.
-For Air Force Academy: Degree from a recognized university with physics and maths/B.E
-For Indian Military Academy/Officers Training Academy: Degree from a recognized university.

AGE LIMIT
-Naval Academy: 19-22yrs.
-Air Force Academy: 19-23yrs.
-Officers Training Academy: 19-25yrs.
-Indian Military Academy: 19-24yrs.

hi, in order to be a inspector in cbi, u need to be graduate,once you have the degre then you can apply for staff selection commission written test,then there is going to be one physical test followed by the interview. on completing all this u'll undergo training at gurgaon

Chest: 76 cms. with expansion
The examination comprises of two papers.
1. General intelligence & awareness
2. Arithmatic
After clear the preliminary exam then followed by the Main exam.
CID :
For becoming a CID officer you will need to appear for the UPSC exam. There are various levels in which you can join the department.
The minimum requirement is that the candidate should complete at least 12th standard. But if you are interested in joining a higher level then you need to be a graduate.
If you want join at the officer level then minimum of graduation is required. Graduation or post graduation in criminology is the preferred course.

CID stands for Criminal Investigation Department and this is a crime detection agency under the govt of India.To become a CID officer the you have to qualify the indian civil services exams conducted by the union public service commission.
The union public service commission is conducted the entrance exams in every year for various posts under civil services exams. For CID Officer posts the required educational qualifications are you must completed the graduation with from recognized university.
Required minimum age limit for these course is 21 years and maximum 27 years and here age relaxation is available as per UPSC govt.

Selection Procedure :
