Admission in engineering after passing polytechnic?
can i get admission for engineering after polytechnic..is it really possible to do so

Yes a diploma student can do engineering directly....
Diploma is enough to get admission in any college who has LATERAL ENTRY FACILITY for doing B.tech .. for IIT , it doesn't have any LATERAL entry facility but AIEEE colleges has...the same. Either you can do specialization in your subject with institutes like NIIT, GNIIT etc.. It will make your career boost up... Else you can even try for many government jobs.. Although diploma candidates are having more oppurtunity then Engineering. But if you have both the degree you will be eligible for both kind of jobs.........Is not is sound good......... |

my son is studying in banagalore polytechnic,can he go for lateral entry for B.E.in karnataka. as horanadu kannadiga can he take the entrance exam?He studied in mumbai and Iam from Hassan(Karnataka).

Hi
Yeah....defiantly after completion of your diploma you are eligible forAeronautical engineering. The minimum eligibility to get the admission in the diploma is you must complete your 10std with 35% of marks from any recognized board. You should not have any backlogs. Your age should not more than 16 years. If you fulfill those qualifications then you are eligible for Diploma. If you really interested in diploma then you have to write the different entrance exams.After clearing those exams only you are eligible for Diploma. I am in tenth standard an average student with interest in science maths and it.
My only dream is to become rich , I am confused between civil engineering or automobile engineering .. what should i do my interest and goal for becoming rich is only sports cars and sports bike pls pls pls suggest me i dnt want to make any wrong decision after 10 .. |

Of course you can do!!!
It is good that you are interested in the engineering field.As you have done polytechnic course of three years,So engineering as BE or B,tech is linked with you course. You can take the admission in the engineering colleges directly in the second year.There is lateral entry scheme by which you can get the admission and can study easily in the third sem directly. You have to appear in the entrance examination.Each State conduct the engineering entrance exams.On the basis of your rank there will be held counseling for the admission than you will get the admission in desired college. yes!
it is possible after passing diploma *) you have to appear in E-cet exam it consists of 200 marks the pattern is **) 100 marks - core subjects ( objective type) **) 100 marks - maths , physics , chemistry. Based on your marks .. your rank will be obtained .. There are number of engineering colleges which offers you LATERAL ENTRY based on your rank In this way you can do engineering ( btech) after completing diploma .. got it.... |

Sir I am pursuing diploma 3rd year from Electronic engineering in govt. Girls polytechnic lucknow. Sir which book is preparing for b. tech lateral entry for all india colleges .
Sir diploma student can prefer roorkee college |
