i wanna become an ips.

To become IPS Officer, one has to go through the civil services examination being conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year.

The selection procedure for this is by,
-CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test)
-Civil Services Main Examination
-Interview

Here is the eligibility criteria for this examination.

Academic Qualification :
-One should have bachelors degree with any of the stream from a recognized university.
-Candidates who have appeared for final year exams of Graduation course and waiting for the result can also apply for this exam.

Age criteria :
-One should be in the age group of 21-30 years to be eligible for this exam.
-Relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category.
-Relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 5 years for the candidates of SC/ST category.

You did not mention your academic qualification. If you fulfill the eligibility criteria, you can appear for upcoming civil services examination.

DETAILS ABOUT IPS EXAM

IPS exam is conducted by UPSC. There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam.

Those candidate have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized university are eligible for IPS exam.

But your age should be in between 21-30years for general candidate.
In IPS exam their is provide age relaxation for OBC candidate is 3years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years.

The maximum attempts for Sc/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.

Also you must be citizen of India.


PROCESS BECOME A IPS OFFICER:-

1. Fill up the Application form.
2.Preliminary exam is consist of two papers.
a) General studies -----150 marks
b)From Optional subject -------300 marks
3.If you have qualify in Preliminary exam then you have to go for IPS mains exam
4.After completion of your main exam you have to go for Interview.

EXAM DATE:-

Notification Date - 04/02/2012
Last date of application - 05/03/2012
Preliminary examination - 20/05/2012.

clearing entrance examination is must for getting govt jobs.
for apply in these examination you have to be
Graduate from recognized university around 50% marks.
age-between 21 to 28.
govt time to time publish their vacancy in employment newspaper (comes weekly)and other newspapers.
read them regularly.

IPS-Indian Police Service

In order to become IPS,You need to crack Civil Service Examination.

The Examination are conducted In Two Stages :
=> Civil Service Aptitude Test(CSAT).
=> Main Examination.

Eligibility Criteria for IPS Exam :

=>The Age Should between 21 - 30 at the time of Appearing Examination.

=> The candidate should have a degree from a recognized University Or Equivalent Qualification.

=> And Those in the final year of a degree course can also Eligible.

=> The Upper Age limit will be Applicable for SC/ST and OBC candidates.

=> The Preliminary Examination is called CSAT Exams.There is a two papers of Objective Type (Multiple Choice Questions) carrying a 400 Marks.

=> Those who passed in the Preliminary Examination are called Main Examination. Main Exam consist of Nine papers.

=> Physical Fitness is very Important for IPS Exam.

Height :

=> Male 165 cm Pahari male (general also) & ST (Not the SC/OBC ) - 160 cm.

=> Female 150 cm Pahari female (general also) & ST (Not the SC/OBC ) - 145 cm.

Eye Sight :

=> 6/6 or 6/9 Distant Vision for good Eye. 6/12 Or 6/9 for worst Eye.

The attempts that are allowed are for 4 attempts for open, Seven attempts for ObC and No limit for SC/ST.

If you want to become I.P.S officer then you have to pass the graduation in any stream you want from the recognized university.

I.P.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.
Eligibility criteria:-
>pass the graduation from recognized university with minimum 50% marks.

For open category:-21-30year
For OBC category :- 21-33year
For ST/SC category:-21-37 year

Indian Police Service exam is conducted by UPSC every year once.This exam is part of Civil service exam.

To eligible for Indian Police Service exam:
>>You should have complete graduation degree with any stream from a recognized university.
>>Appearing for final exam can also eligible for this exam.
>>Your age should be between 21 to 30 years and you can attempt 4 times only,if you belong to General category.
>>Your age should be between 21 to 33 years and you can attempt 7 times only,if you belong to OBC category.

IPS - INDIAN POLICE SERVICE, to become an IPS officer one has to appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year.

The chest of the male candidate should be 85cm and that to for female should be 79cm and expandable to 5cm in each case.
