Re: How to become IPS Officer after the completion of B.Com?
Hello friend.
After completion of B.Com, the very first thing you need to do is to apply for civil service examination, conducted by union public service commission. Civil Service exam is conducted for recruitment of IAS, IPS and IFS officers. Being a graduate, you are eligible for the exam provided you are within the age limit of 21-30 years. The maximum age limit for candidates belonging to SC/ST category is 35 years and OBC category is 33 years. After applying for the exam, you will have to qualify civil service aptitude test, the first stage of the civil service exam. If you qualify the civil service aptitude test, you will be eligible to move on to the next step of civil service exam known as the Main exam, which will be followed by an interview. |

Re: How to become IPS Officer after the completion of B.Com?
The Indian Civil Service has great respect and responsibilities. Corporate jobs may offer more perks, but an entry to Civil Service as officers is considered prestigious by many Indian youngsters. Indian Civil Services are held by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The Indian Police Service (IPS) : The Indian Police Service is mainly public safety and security. The Indian Police Service is divided into various departments like the Crime Branch, the Criminal Investigation Department, Home Guards and the Traffic Bureau. The area of functioning for the IPS can be broadly divided into: maintenance of law and order, crime prevention and detection, traffic control and accident prevention and management. Eligibility for the Civil Services Preliminary Examination: The minimum age for appearing for the Civil Service Preliminary examination is 21 years and the upper age limit is 30 years. The minimum qualification is graduation in any discipline from a recognised Indian University or an equivalent qualification. There is a relaxation for SC/ST candidates on the number of attempts, if they are otherwise eligible. |

Re: How to become IPS Officer after the completion of B.Com?
Dear Friend,
Its really nice to see that your dream is to become an IPS Officer. The Acronym "IPS" stands for Indian Police Services. You can become an IPS Officer by joining the Indian Police Services. To join the Indian Police Services , The candidates have to crack the Civil Services Exam. The Civil Services Exam is the only examination through which candidates can join the following services : ** Indian Police services ** Indian Economic Services ** Indian Foreign Services ** Indian Administrative Services The Union Public Service Commission conducts the Civil Services Exam once every year. The Civil Services examination is considered as the toughest examination conducted by the UPSC in which more than 10 lac candidates appear every year and only 400-500 candidates get success in joining the above mentioned services. Such a low number of candidates get success in this exam due to its long selection procedure where candidates have to crack each n every stage of the examination. The different Stages in which the Civil services Exam is conducted are : 1) Preliminary Examination 2) MAINS Examination 3) Personal Interview The Essential requisites for the Civil Services Exam are : ## Educational Qualifications : >> The candidate must hold a Bachelor`s Degree in any discipline from any recognized college/university. >> The candidate must have no pending backlogs. >> Final year candidates can also apply. >> There is no fixed percentage bar. ## Age Limit : a) For General Candidates : 21-30 years b) For OBC Candidates : 21-33 years c) For SC/ST Candidates : 21-35 years ## Nationality : >> The candidate must be an Indian. OR, >> A Subject of Nepal. OR, >> A Subject of Bhutan. ## Sex : >> Both Male and Female Candidates are considered eligible for this exam. The Number of Attempts for the Civil Services Exam : a) For General Candidates : 4 b) For OBC Candidates : 7 c) For SC/ST Candidates : No Limits This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |
