for most of the leading software company give their eligibility criterion that candidates should have minimum of 60% marks through out their career to appear in their recruitment process. that means you should maintain minimum of 60% marks from 10th to your graduation or post graduation.
but as you don't have 60% marks in B.Tech so unfortunately you will not be eligible for leading IT companies although you have M.Tech. but don't worry for this there are some company also those don't have any such criterion or have criterion of 55%. there are so many software industry those recruit candidates only based on their knowledge not based on marks. so surely you will get in those company. try to find out some good company those does not give minimum of 60% marks criterion and try for that type of company. best of luck. |

Re: Am I eligible for any MNC's after scoring 57% in B.Tech and 70% in Masters?
Yes, you are certainly eligible. The crieteria for being selected in any job is not just the "Academic Score" that one has secured. Although your scores do not qualify as "excellent," you still stand a chance provided you clear your various phases of interview and then prove your ability during your training as well as "on-the-job."
Before attending any interview for an MNC, you need to brush up on your English skills. You will need to face a written test, group discussion, and a personal interview. In the written test, your command over the English language and technical skills will be tested. If you clear this test, you move on to the Group discussion wherein your ability to gel with a group, leadership skills and team spirit are put to test. Finally, you face an interviewer for the personal interview round. Here, the interviewer will test you for your ability to communicate effectively. He will also judge your confidence levels and also this test is a barometer to check how much "pressure" you can handle. Once you clear these stages, you are ON. Just getting into an MNC must not be your aim. Continuous efforts and reinforcing your knowledge are absolutely essential. During the traning you will be walked through the essentials of what your job entails. You need to tread carefully here as disinterestedness, attitude or lack of skill in a trainee can result in termination of employment. Once the training phase is completed, the On-the-job (OJT) phase starts. Here you are familiarized with day-to-day working of the organisation. Slowly you are eased into the acutal production. Finally, DO NOT GIVE UP. If you did not qualify initially, do not be disheartened and accept defeat. Try to go back and analyze what were your weak points and try to work on them before attending another interview. Also keep in mind that most of the MNCs do not allow a candidate to reappear for their interviews within 6 months of disqualification. |

friend since u have got a good percentage in your pg hence a lower %age in grad. should not be a big concern for u since the result in pg will compensate for lower grades in your graduation. also most of the mnc's while recruiting tend to be skill specific rather than too much depending on marks.

Re: Am I eligible for any MNC's after scoring 57% in B.Tech and 70% in Masters?
dear friend,
See, most of the big software companies are follow the eligibility criteria that the candidate should have 60% aggregate throughout the career including the 10th,12th,graduation,and post graduation.. As you have secured 57% marks in your graduation , so sorry to say you that you are not eligible for big IT companies.. But don't worry my friend there are some MNC's those doesn't follow such criteria. They even hire students having marks less than 60% in graduation.. So, go for that companies... you can get the information about these companies from job providing websites like- www.monster.com, www.freshersworld.com,www.timesjobs.com.. You can log in these websites, and get the latest job information from these websites.. All the best.. |

Re: Am I eligible for any MNC's after scoring 57% in B.Tech and 70% in Masters?
Every MNCs have there own mode of selection for the B.Tech student. But maximum companies have there selection from the marks of the students.
They put an eligibility criteria of 60% marks in B.Tech minimum. And the Worldwide Best companies put an eligibility criteria of 70% marks in B.Tech and M.tech. Though you have score 57% in B.Tech. so it is difficult to get a good companies. But Everything does not depend upon the Marks. its all depend upon the GD and Interview. If you are very good in this field, then also you can get a very good job in a very companies. Therefore, Increase your talent as more as you can and apply for the different companies in worldwide. ALL THE BEST Thank You |

the leading MNCs generally ask for 60% in the 10th, 12th and b.tech.. for recruitment....
Since you have secured 57% marks in b.tech so, you are not eligible for the MNCs like TCS,info, wipro... well you m.tech degree is of 70%, so dont wory there are many companies which can recruit you.. just search for the job interviews wherever possibl.. you will definitely get the job.. |
