I have done my 10th with 70% 12th 47% b.com 60%. My height is 154cm. I belong to OBC category am I applicable for the exam? Can you please tell me what is the minimum criteria followed? It will be helpful if you can get back soon. Thanks!

The minimum height required for Sub Inspector post is 170 CMs.

And for female candidates the minimum height required is 165 CMs.

There are relaxation for people belonging to hilly areas and north eastern states.

The required criteria for the post of SI are mentioned below:-

General- 170 cms 157 cms
Hill Areas- 155 cms 165 cms
ST 162.5 cms 154 cms

Chest:-
General- 80 cms 5 cms expanded
Hill Areas- 80 cms 5 cms expanded
ST- 77 cms 5 cms expanded

Race:-
100 mtrs in 16 second 100 mtrs in 18 second
1.6 Kms in 6.5 minutes 800 mtrs in 4 minutes

Jump:-
Long : 3.65 mtrs in 3 chances 2.7 mtrs in 3 chance
High : 1.2 mtrs in 3 chances 0.9 mtrs in 3 chance

Yes, you are eligible to apply for SI (Sub Inspector) post after having 154cm height, because minimum height required to apply for SI for male candidate is 168cm and for female candidate 152cm.

>> Relaxation in height criteria for reserve category candidates that is for male applicant belongs to ST category minimum height required is 160cm and for female applicant belongs to ST category minimum height required to apply is 147cm.

Other eligibility Conditions:-

:- Age limit to apply for SI post is 21 to 28 years, Relaxation of 5 years for reserve category candidates.

:- For SI post minimum qualification required to apply is graduation from government recognized institute.

:- Only citizens of India are allowed to apply for SI post.

Let me tell you that at the height of 154 cm you are not eligible to join police because as per the minimum eligibility criteria and physical standards a girl child should have minimum height of 5 feet 2 inches in order to join police. 5 feet 2 inches that is 158 CM. So you should try for something else.

The eligibility criteria for Sub Inspector exam is:

1. You must be bachelor's degree passed or in final year of bachelor's degree to apply for SI entrance exam.

2. Age limit is 20-30 years. Upper age relaxation applicable to candidates of reserved category.

Minimum height required is 157.5 cms. You are not eligible for SI entrance exam after having height of 154 cms.
