Re: Am I eligible for bank clerk exam after completing 12th standard?
You can not apply for the Bank Clerk job. There are two issues with it. Firstly you must complete graduation and secondly you are also not meeting the age limit.
Couple of years back IBPS used to allow 12th pass candidates to apply for the Bank Clerk entrance exam. However this is no longer the case. You must be graduate now to apply for the job. This change was asked by the participating banks. At present 19 Public sector banks participates in the IBPS entrance exams like Bank PO and Bank Clerk. Therefore my advice to you is to complete graduation and then apply for the banking job. You will not be able to apply for it before that even if you belong to reserve category. Having completed 12th in Commerce you can apply for Bachelor of Commerce. Other courses are BCA and even BBA. IBPS Clerk Eligibility 1. You must be Indian citizen. 2. Valid Bachelor's degree from a recognized college. 3. No criteria for marks in graduation. 4. There is a requirement of Certificate in Computer Operating Skills. 5. However if you have studied Computer Science subject in school/college then there is no need for certificate or diploma. 6. The lower age should be 20 years to apply for Clerk exam. 7. Upper age limit is 28 years for the exam. 8. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC. 9. The relaxation for SC/ST is 5 years. 10. Ten years relaxation is given to person with disability. |

Re: Am I eligible for bank clerk exam after completing 12th standard?
Quote:
SBI exam for the post of clerical cadres can also be given by the diploma holders if the course has been done from a recognized university and not through correspondence. The duration of the course should not be less than two years. 60% of marks is required in this exam as well. After graduation if one chooses to apply then they just needs to secure the pass marks since the minimum percentage to apply have not been mentioned. So 40% of marks at graduation level would do. Age Criteria:- 18-28 years But since you are not a graduate therefore you cannot apply for the IBPS Clerk exam. Earlier the 12th pass out students used to be allowed to give this exam but not anymore. Now the new rule suggests that irrespective of the post applied the candidate should have a graduate degree. In this case the percentage of marks at graduation level does not matters much so pass marks would do. Along with that computer knowledge is also required and proficiency in the local language of the state where you are going to apply. Age Criteria:- 20-28 years. Thus you see the fact that you are not a graduate is only limiting your opportunities when it comes to applying for bank exams. So although you can go ahead and apply for the SBI Clerk exam when the notifications releases but i would recommend you to complete your graduation first and increase your opportunities. Hope this helps :-> :-> |
