Re: Am I eligible for IAS exam after completing B.Com pass course?
Hi,
You are eligible to appear for IAS examination as you have cleared your B.com. But you're only 20yrs. So you have to wait for a year more because you must be 21yrs so as to appear for the exam. You're really lucky because you have a year in your hand for the right preparation. You go and join any civil service training institute to get proper guidance. The syllabus has been changed by UPSC. More stress has been given to SQ(social quotient) than EQ(emotional quotient ).You must be thorough with the basics from 6th to 10th science, social science(history, geography and civics) ncert text books and you must be aware of the incidents of national and international importance. Preferably read 'The Hindu' newspaper. You'll get more information from this(don't forget to go through editorial column). If you've good reasoning skill, simple and good communication skill and logical ability then you can easily clear even your interview. Its easy to clear the preliminary and mains exam if you are well aware of the basics I've mentioned above. Read good articles and journals of national importance like The Week, Economic and Political Weekly etc. There is nothing to worry. Its easy if you have a confidence in you and get a right training.. Look forward and utilise the time you have.. All the best.. |
