You did not mention whether you have completed B.Tech or not. If you are a candidate having completed B.Tech, then you can appear for IAS Exam.

For IAS, one has to go through a civil services examinaion conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).

The selection procedure for IAS Exam will be as follows
-CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test)
-Civil Services Main Examination
-Interview.

Here is the eligibility criteria for IAS Exam.

Academic Qualification :
-One should have completed Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university.
-The candidates who have appeared for the qualifying examination and waiting for the results also eligible.

Age criteria :
-One should be in the age group of 21-30 years by 1st August of the year in which the examination is going to be conducted.
-Relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC
-Relaxation in upper age limit upto 5 years for the candidates of SC/ST.
-Relaxation in upper age limit upto 5 years for Ex-service man.
and there will be other relaxations too.

Number of attempts :
-For the candidates of General categroy, the maximum number of attempts are 4.
-For the candidates of OBC, it is 7.
-For the candidate of SC/ST, there is no limit on the number of attempts.

If you have interest to appear for CSAT Exam, you can appear for the exam and crack the exam.
