IES Stands for Indian Engineering Service examination

If you have completed your Bachelor Engineering Degree course, then you are eligible to apply for IES Examination, But your written exam subjects are -CIVIL, MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, ELECTRONICS AND TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEERING. You can choose any one subject from these . M.Sc Degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering are also applicable for IES Exam.

Final year student also eligible for IES exam .

Indian Engineering Service entrance exam is conducted annually by the Union Public Service Commission. If you want to appear for it then a Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.

YES, you can apply for the Indian engineering Services Exams 2014

But make sure that you clear your Backlog of your BE/BTECH.

If you are able to pass the IES exams than before joining they would require you to pass the BE/BTECH

computer science Engineers can also apply for IES exam. because according to eligibility criteria any candidate who have engineering degree in any discipline can apply for IES exam.

But you are required to give the papers in any one of the following four streams.
Civil Engineering

As you have not mention your educational qualification in which you have got 62% marks.Although you marks is good and you have passed your examination in First division but there are certain eligibility conditions that you will have to meet to apply for IES(Indian Engineering Services) Exam that is conducted by the UPSC.To apply for this exam,you will required to meet these Eligibility conditions :
