You can apply for the course at any age. Also you can apply with your 12th score. But you must scored atleast 50% in the same. Since your score in graduation is less you cannot apply with that score. You need to look for other options in that case.

Re: Am I eligible for LLB at Calcutta University after completing graduation in 2006 with 35%?
It will be extremely difficult for you to get admission for the LLB. You should not narrow down the choices to Calcutta University and instead look for any university that could offer you admission.
I say that because your marks are very low in the graduation. This makes the admission in LLB very difficult. You will have hard time getting admission therefore narrowing down the choices to Calcutta University is not a good choice. You will have to do a lot of research and see whether any university will get admission for LLB course with 35 percent marks. Although it will be very difficult since most universities ask for 45 to 50 percent marks. But if you belong to SC/ST then there will not be much trouble taking admission. Several universities accept the SC/ST candidates for LLB courses with passing marks in graduation. Delhi University is one such university. Although it conducts entrance exam to offer admission. You should also forget about trying to get admission for distance education or the correspondence course. I should simply tell you that such courses are not recognized and completing them would not make you lawyer. The Bar Council of India will simply not allow you to practice with any distance education or the correspondence degree. LLB Eligibility 1. Colleges will ask for graduation degree to apply. 2. You must have obtained 45 to 50 percent marks. 3. There is 5 percent relaxation for SC/ST. 4. No percentage criteria for SC/ST in DU. 5. The upper age limit for the course is 30 years. 6. SC/ST get 5 years relaxation. |
