Am i eligible for Merchant Navy while studying NIT Durgapur
i am in 1st year of my b tech degree
i got mechanical enng stream ,i m studying in NIT durgapur i got 57 in chem,57 in maths and 80 in physics in 10+2[isc board] i am also a scheduled caste wil i be eligible to join in merchant navy? if "YES", wil i have to apply off campus? and what will be the best company for me to get a better salary!? |

You can apply for merchant navy. The graduate degree in Nautical Science or the Marine Engineering opens avenue in Merchant Navy. Minimum you need to complete class 12th with PCM. There is a age limit of 20 years to both unmarried male as well as female candidates and another five years relaxation is provided to SC/ST. In case of direct entry, candidates should complete class 12 with PCM. For the B.Tech in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Technology, Cadet/ Fifth Engineer/ Junior Engineer posts are open.
