i completed my mcom, want to write net exam..Am I eligible for the entrance exam

The eligibility is as follows:

1.Candidates must secure at least 55% marks in their Master's degree or equivalent exam.
2.Final year student can also apply for the same.
3.Age limit: 1-Junior Research Fellowship:Should not be more than 28yrs.
2-Lectureship:No upper age limit.

If you fulfill the above conditions then you are eligible.

I am 32 years what I can do after completing my MCom

Yes you are eligible for net exam.
For appearing in the NET exam you should have 55% marks in post graduation.

Age limit for JRF should not more than 28 and for Lecturarship, there is no upper age limit.

Yeah you are eligible for the NET exam .

Important Dates:

Date of UGC NET examination: 26th June 2011
Date of UGC NET Notification : 30.03.2011
i) Last date for Applying On-Line 25th April 2011

ii) Last date for receiving the documents at the test center: 2-5-2011

Eligibility:

The candidates must have completed Master degree from a recognized university with 55% aggregate.For SC/ST/VH/PH candidates it is 50%.
The candidates must appear with the subjects of their post graduation only.

Yes definitely.

Minimum Qualification Is Master Degree.So After completing your master degree,you are definitely Eligible.

But,the candidate should have scored minimum 55% Marks for General and OBC candidates.

The candidate should have scored minimum 50% Marks for SC/ST/PH/VH.

Final year candidates may also Eligible to Apply.

There is no upper limit for lectureship.

This year last date of submission was already Closed.

The minimum age limit is 28 yrs.so you are not eligible because your age is 32.

National Eligibility Test need candidate to have post graduation degree. On this count you are eligible for the entrance exam conducted for Junior Research Fellowship and Lectureship.

However you also need to secure a minimum percentage in post graduation to be eligible for NET. If you fails to meet the percentage criteria, NET will be impossible for you to appea for.

I will write about all the criteria below. National Eligibility Test is basically conducted in June and December. You should give yourself at least 3-6 months to prepare for it. However always remember that there is no limit on attempts therefore do not carry the extra burden when giving the exams.


NET Eligibility

1. NET is open for all Indian citizens.

2. However your qualification should at least be post graduation.

3. 55 percent marks in post graduation are necessary to appear for exam.

4. You need 50 percent if belongs to SC and ST.

5. Final year post graduation students can also appear.

6. However it is necessary for them to submit their degree within 2 years.

7. Your subject for NET will be Commerce.

8. Age limit is 28 for students who are appearing for JRF.

9. It is relaxed by 3 years for OBC students.

10. Upto 5 years relaxation is given to SC/ST.

11. There is no upper age limit if applying for lectureship. You should be more than 19 years old.
