No, you are not eligible for the UGC NET entrance exam. You need to qualify in your PG course to be eligible for the UGC NET entrance exam. Master degree is the basic qualification requirement for a NET entrance exam. You are eligible for NET entrance only after successful completion of PG course.

National Eligibility Test (NET) entrance exam is conducted by University Grants Commission (UGC).

Eligibility Criteria for UGC NET Exam:-

-Post graduation with 55% marks in any discipline from a recognized university are eligible to apply.
-Those candidates who belong to the SC/ST category with a minimum of 50% marks can also apply.
-The age limits for Junior Research Fellowship( JRF) is not more than 28 years and relaxation will be applicable for reserved category students.
-There is no age limit for Lectureship post.

I have done my Bsc ( zoology ) from Pune University . Now I'm in 2nd year MA political science from IGNOU. Am I eligible for UGC NET ?
