for net exam educational qualification is master degree from government recognised university,so if you have passed from gov. recognised then you are able for the net exam.

I don't think that you are eligible for the NET exam. Because only the Master's degree holders in general science subjects can apply for this exam.

There is another kind of fellowship program course for engineering or technical students.

Technical students cannot apply for this exam.

Qualification Criteria for NET exam
The candidates must have completed Post Graduation in the desired subject. They must have secured Master’s Degree with a minimum of 55% from any reputed college under UGC recognition. The candidates appearing for last semester exam can even attend NET exam.

• Thirty Five years is the maximum age limit. There is relaxation of 3 years OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

NET - National Eligibility Test.

Yeah you are eligible as you have finished your Master's degree,but you have to satisfy the other eligibility criteria also.

Important Dates:

Date of UGC NET examination: 26th June 2011

Date of UGC NET Notification : 30.03.2011

i) Last date for Applying On-Line 25th April 2011

ii) Last date for receiving the documents at the test center: 2-5-2011

Eligibility:

The candidates must have finished their Master's degree from a recognized university with 55% aggregate.For SC/ST/VH/PH candidates it is 50%.
The candidates must appear with the subjects of their post graduation omly.
