I am doing my MBA in HR 3rd sem through distance learning, i want to know whether I am eligible for NET exam or not and i want to give my NET exam in Human Resource subject as per code no. 55, can i appear for NET in this Subject?

As you are pursuing MBA (HR), you will definitely considered eligible to appear for Human Resource in the National Eligibility Test conducted by UGC provided; you qualify the final year examination of your masters degree program. You have to qualify the exam and score a minimum of 55% to be eligible for the test.
Incase, if you belong to Sc/St category, you will need to score 50% marks to be considered eligible for the test.
Therefore, right now, you need to concentrate on your masters degree program and work hard to do well and as soon as you are awarded the masters degree, you may apply for the test, which is conducted twice a year, in the month of June and December.

If you are Pursuing your Final year MBA Degree course in Human Resource Management (HR), Then definitely you are eligible to apply for NET Examination.

NET : National Eligiblity Test, This examination is Conducted by UGC, Twice in a year and the examination is Held in the month of June and December.

This examination is Conducts to determine eligibility for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). You are Pursuing your Final year MBA Degree course in (HR), Then you are eligible for NET Examination and you are eligible to Opt Labour Welfare/Personnel Management/Industrial Relations/ Labour and Social Welfare/Human Resource Management.

But to apply for NET Examination, you must have Scored minimum 55% Marks in your MBA Course, Those who have not scored minimum 55% Marks in Post graduation are not eligible to apply for NET Examination.

For Lectureship Post : You must have attained the age of 19 years and there is no age restriction for this post.

For JRF (Junior Research Fellowship Post) : You must have attained the age of 19 years and Not attained the age of of 28 years, upper age relaxation is applicable for Other Reserved Category Candidates.
