Am I eligible for TGT exam after completing schooling from UP board


I am vandana. I had completed my schooling from up board... I completed my BSC. from Allahabad university subject botany and chemistry . I also completed BED. from Kanpur university...am I eligible for giving TGT exam..my subject combination is right or not.??

Yes,you are eligible for TGT exam after completing schooling from UP board . Being a Graduate and B.Ed. degree holder,you can apply for the TGT exam .

TGT stands for Trained Graduate Teacher.

The candidate who opt for this course can work as a teacher .This exam is conducted by upsesscb Allahabad.

The eligibility criteria for TGT exam are as under :-

-The candidate should have passed B.Ed./Graduation/Post Graduation degree from a recognized university.

-The candidate minimum age limit to apply for the exam is from 21 years and there is no upper age limit for this exam.

-The selection procedure involves of

* Written exam and

* Interview.
