Am I eligible for UPSC Exam with a date of birth of 12-11-1981?


My birth date is 12.11.1981 am i eligible for upsC exam.

UPSC stands for Union Public Service Commission which conduct variety of entrance exams in order to place the candidates into vareity of public services.

Some of the those exams will be
-SCRA (Special Class Railway Apprentices) Exam
-NDA Exam which is to recruit the candidates into various defence services like Army wing, Navy wing and Air Force wing
-Indian Engineering Services Exam
-Combined Defence Services Exam
-CSAT Exam etc.

The eligibility criteria for one entrance exam will vary from other entrance exam.

Being a candidate with a date of birth of 12-11-1981, you might have crossed an age of 30 years.

For some UPSC Exams, the maximum age limit is 30 years. However, relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category and upto 5 years for the candidates of SC/ST category.

UPSC- UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION conducts various entrance exam for various public services in India such as:-

Special Class Railway Apprentices
Indian Engineering services
Civil Service Exam
Combined Defence Service
National Defence Academy etc.

The eligibility criteria for these exams conducted by UPSC is different for different services.

As your date of birth is 12.11.1981, you may be crossed 30 years of age.

For UPSC Civil Service Exam the upper age limit is 30 years which is relaxed for 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidate.

The list of examination conducted by UPSC are ::

SCRA Exam
C.D.S. EXAM.
N.D.A. & N.A. EXAM.
CIVIL SERVICES EXAM.
ENGINEERING SERVICES EXAMINATION
COMBINED MEDICAL SERVICES EXAM
UPSC RT/EXAM
INDIAN FOREST SERVICE EXAM
CENTRAL POLICE FORCES (AC) EXAM.
I.E.S./I.S.S. EXAM
GEOLOGISTS' EXAM

The eligibility criteria ::

For most of the exam the interested candidates should have passed their graduation in any streams from recognized college and age should be above 21 and below 30 years .Relaxation in upper age is given to reserved caste students .

For SC/ST the upper age limit is extended to 5 years
For OBC the upper age limit is extended to 3 years .

Since you are exactly 30 years of age so you are still eligible for the exams like::

IES
Civil services .

But you are not eligible for the ::

NDA

Yes you are eligible for Union Public Service Commission Exams(UPSC).
UPSC conducts exams for
1.Civil Services like IAS,IPS,IFS..............
2.NDA exams
3.CDS exams.
and more exams.........

Note that you are eligible only for Civil Service Exams.Remaining You are not eligible with respect to age.

Eligibility Criteria for UPSC exams:-

**Educational qualification is graduation in any stream from any recognized university.

**Age limit:-
21 to 30 years for general category.
21 to 33years for BC category.
21 to 35years for Sc/st category.

You are eligible for I.A.S exam if you come under ST/SC category.

I.A.S exam exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.

Qualification:- Pass graduation with any stream fron recginiced university.

Age limit:-
For Open category:- 21-30 year
For ST/SC category:- 21-33 year

Number of Attempts:-
For open category:- 4 attempts
For ST/SC category:- 7 attempts


CIVIL SERVICES (PRELIMINARY) EXAM., 2012
Date of notification:-04.02.2012
Last Date of receipt of form:- 05.03.2012(MONDAY)
Date of exam:- 20.05.2012(SUNDAY)

CIVIL SERVICES (MAIN) EXAM., 2012
Date of exam:- 05.10.2012(FRIDAY)
